WIW-Sweater, leggins, booties

Haven't had anyone to take my pics recently so it's been a while since i've posted a wiw. I got the sweater as a gift a few years ago. I really don't think it does anything for me, but it fits and its comfortable so I hang on to it. The leopard print leggins were bought a couple years ago from Old Navy. The suede booties are a hand me down from my husbands boss. The square toe may be a bit dated for some but I like a square toe.

Sweater: Falls Creek, gift
Leggins: Old Navy $5.00
Shoes: Nine West, hand me down

All in all not too bad for a $5 outfit. No accessories except for my wedding ring.

Bonus pic of our dog Rocky. :)

Really like the leggings on you. Not sure if it would be in your style preference, but have you considered belting the sweater? Maybe something with a bit of sparkle? ( I am a none too secret magpie, so maybe no sparkle, but I think it would look fun.)

    Super cute doggy!

Cute look! You could add a scarf too, to cozy things up further when it's cold.

Thank you all. Thistle, I am a total magpie too, lol. I don't even own a belt, but it would be something worth trying. Sarah, I have a handful of scarves but they never feel like me. I love them on others but every time I try to wear one i'm uncomfortable and feel like i'm trying too hard. I have been thinking about taking them to dance class and just giving them all away.

Please, don't give them away yet - play with them. Wear them around the house until you get used to them - they would look great with your style.

I like the sweater on you! It fits well and the v neck is flatterimg. And your dog is adorable :-)

Cheryl, if scarfs aren't your thing I thought maybe you could add a bright-coloured cami. or tank under the sweater? It really is a great length over the leggings, and looks like a comfortable outfit to wear.

Hmm I think this just might be my favourite look of yours and I really like each of the individual pieces which could be worn in lots of wys.

I like the leopard print leggings and sweater together. I think the sweater looks good on you and is a good length to wear with leggings. I like the muted color palette but could see adding a scarf for more color.

I have so missed your wonderful smiley face, Cheryl! You look absolutely terrific! So fab that you posted. I think this sweater does great things for you - *really*. I know you prefer to wear bright colours, but you look as gorgeous in this rich dark grey.

Rocky is as adorable, huggable and sweet as his Mama:)

  • cheryl replied 11 years ago

Thank you all. I do have plenty of cami's so I can change the look up that way. Thank you Angie. The grey is pretty subdued for me but I like it! Rocky sends happy barks to everyone :)

This is such a great autumn outfit. Dark grey sweater and leopard leggings go so well together.

  • catgirl replied 11 years ago

Very nice cozy look and good way to use the leggings!

  • rachylou replied 11 years ago

I really like this outfit. Everything fits well. The pattern in the leggings give that dash of interest.

I do admit to wanting to add a thin chain and pendant, to return the eye to your face.

  • cheryl replied 11 years ago

Thank you all. Rachylou the necklace is a good idea. I haven't been feeling them lately but maybe its because I don't like the heavy feel of a bold piece. A thin chain and smaller pendant might work for me.
