Spreadsheet numbers for June

I am way behind and finally got around to tallying my numbers for June. This does include shoes, jammies, swimsuits and outerwear.

There were 30 days in June
I wore 132 different pieces
a total of 226 times
averaging 7.53 pieces per day
5 was the least items worn in a day and
11 was the most items worn in day

My daily averages seem to keep going up, lol
April average 6.84
May average 7.29
June average 7.53

Maybe because it had been so hot and that includes swimsuits and things.

I personally made no new purchases in June but my mom bought me a gear type top and capri outfit.

Wow! I have never thought to do this. What do you hope to learn from it, Cheryl? Are you keeping track of how much you actually need?

so interesting! how does that 226 work? Does that mean you wore each thing about twice? you average 8 things a day....and you count all of it, like purse and shoes and even socks or not? I never thought to track how many items I wear a day, but 8 seems right since I change top, bottom, and shoes when I get home and sometimes the coat!

Suz, I really just keep the inventory spreadsheet for fun. I have a large wardrobe and this helps me to get rid of stuff that I haven't worn in a year.

Thank Jayne. Yes the 226 is the total amount of times I wore 132 different things, lol. I don't count purses or under garments. I count clothing, shoes, jackets/toppers, sleepwear, swimwear and gear. It surprises me how many things I average in a day but if i wear a shortie jammie set instead of a nightgown, thats an extra item, or my tankini instead of a one piece is an extra item so it adds up.

I play with number just for fun sometimes, too. I realized out of 365 days, if I consider 'stay in Sundays' and sick days, and the like, I probably only need to dress to be ready for the outside world 300 days out of the year. Now, considering I have about 150 items, I think I'm fully equipped for that lol!

Fun! I always enjoy running numbers on my wardrobe. I find it really helpful with purging items to have a tracking system to help me see which items are not being used.

Wow, this is very interesting. I especially find the number of items wore in one day very interesting..I have never thought of it that way.

I think I just enjoy numbers. Now to get July's numbers done, lol.

I am impressed with your spreadsheet musings, Cheryl :)

Wow, I've been spreadsheet tracking since fall 2010, but never thought about number of items worn per day. I delete items once they are out of my closet, so I don't think I could go back and calculate previous months accurately, but I may start doing this.

I'm also impressed that you track sleepwear and gear! I have tried, but seem to remember to track clothes, shoes, and accessories most successfully. I frequently forget to track my jewelry for days at a time, so those numbers are rather inaccurate.

Thank you Angie and Kate. Kate, I haven't started tracking jewelry yet but I have been thinking about it, lol. If I get rid of something I just make a note to remove it from the spreadsheet once my numbers are done for the month.
