WIW-It's been a while.

It has been a long time since I have posted a What I Wore. My schedule doesn't mesh with anyone else's to try and get pics so I thought I would try the self timer button on my camera. Still working out the kinks and that's why my feet are cut off lol.

I like this outfit much better in person than in the pics. I feel so me in this. It has a bit of all of my favorite things. Comfy, casual, a bit of sheer, a bit of sparkle and a bit of fun with the sunnies. This outfit makes me feel a bit sporty, sassy and spunky which I like.

The top is grey with tabbed 3/4 sleeves and sheer trim around the scoop neck. The pants are a coral metallic which i'm not sure shows up in the photos. My Cons are silver lame and the shades are just fun. I much prefer bootcut to straight legs and the cut of the top emphasizes my hips and curves but I still have a very high happiness factor in this outfit.

Plaid/Sequin Yay or Nay

Hi! First off don't look at or mind the hair, it's in a clip and I haven't messed with it yet, just pondering this outfit. I am trying the plaid flannel / sequin/ legging look and i'm not sure how I feel about it. I don't really have a belt but felt it needed some waist definition so i tied a scarf around my waist. So is it cute, too lumberjack broad shouldered, or too 80's? All input appreciated. I think i need a tripod. Everyone is taller than me and my full length pics always look off :(

WIW-A rare woven and cons

I wore this to work today. One of very few woven tops I own. You can't really see the details of the top but it has a very small floral pattern of pink and turquoise. The sleeves are a bit long so I usually cuff or scrunch or both but forgot for the pics. I'm wearing it over a baby pink cami. The pants might be considered slouchy cargo skinnies or maybe just too big, haha, i'm not sure which. Shoes are my new turquoise Cons.

Blouse: Old Navy
Cami: Old Navy
Pants: Old Navy
Shoes: Converse

Bonus pic of Katie, my daughter's dog :)

WIW-Sweater, leggins, booties

Haven't had anyone to take my pics recently so it's been a while since i've posted a wiw. I got the sweater as a gift a few years ago. I really don't think it does anything for me, but it fits and its comfortable so I hang on to it. The leopard print leggins were bought a couple years ago from Old Navy. The suede booties are a hand me down from my husbands boss. The square toe may be a bit dated for some but I like a square toe.

Sweater: Falls Creek, gift
Leggins: Old Navy $5.00
Shoes: Nine West, hand me down

All in all not too bad for a $5 outfit. No accessories except for my wedding ring.

Bonus pic of our dog Rocky. :)

WIW - Giving the 80's the cold shoulder

I love this top. It makes me feel like i'm rocking the 80's. It's so soft and comfy and I love the shoulder detailing and the shiny butterflies. Wore it dancing with my jeans, cowboy boots and a blingy butterfly ring.

Jeans: St. John's Bay

WIW - grab bag ruffle

Last year Old Navy had grab bags for $20. I love any kind of grab bag. The unknown surprise is just fun. There were 5 items in the grab bag and surprisingly I liked and have worn every item.

I am not a big fan of yellow, ruffles or woven so I never would have bought this for myself but since its plaid I actually really like it. I didn't realize how crumply and wrinkled everything looked until I saw the pics.

I have it posted with two different pair of shoes. The brown sandals I actually like but they do stumpify me so I went with the white slip ons and the brown sweat jacket is for chilly a/c.

Cami: Old Navy
Top: Old Navy
Capris: Classic Elements Woman
Jacket: St. John's Bay
White Slip On Shoes: Basic Editions
Brown Sandals: Xhileration

WIW - at the beach, polka dot tankini

It was a gorgeous day today and we spent part of it at the beach. I like a skirted bottom because it hides my hips, lol. Afterward we went for a good dinner and I had blue cotton candy for dessert ;)

Tankini: Athletech

WIW - White Suit

I think i'm feeling patriotic a day too late, lol. I never wear shirts this short, they make me feel uncomfortable. I like to wear tops that cover my bottom because I have a tummy and big hips. So this is normally hidden under a jacket of some sort. What do you think of this length. Is it fine, is it to be kept underneath something or is it time to let it go? The white suit! It is five years old. What do you think? Is it too Saturday Night Fever? Dated? Or is it still fine with the 3/4 sleeves and mandarin collar. Of course I casualize (is that a word?) everything with fun plaid tennies, lol. Sandals would probably look better but for work my feet get too cold in sandals. Bonus pics of my granddoggy Katie!

WIW - simple

I wore this out to dinner for my husband's birthday and then to dance class and dancing. Its my basic formula for dance class: knit top, jeans, boots.

Top: Worthington
Jeans: Old Navy
Boots: Abilene

It was so hot I didn't even bother with any extera jewelry besides my wedding ring and two beaded rings my daughter made.
